In February of this year the National Park Service launched a new app that may just put authors like ourselves out of business! While you might wonder how I can write that with an exclamation mark, you have to understand that our main goal is getting people into the parks and this app just makes that so much easier. That's a good thing!
The new parks service app can be found in your app store for Android and Apple. It's symbol is the basic arrowhead of the park service and just says "National Park Service." It has a ton of goodies perfect for planning your next visit. I'm most excited about the offline trail features as I'm always afraid I'm going to get lost and getting all my park information in one spot. In the past if was difficult to get maps and info directly from the park service but that is a thing of the past. We are linking to an article that has a good review so you can see what others are saying too. I've already downloaded mine and am the planning has begun! First stop-Utah parks in April.
We, Harley and Abby, are the parents of 7 boys and 1 girl whom we regularly drag into any and every national park we come near to. We love our parks and know that the only chance we have of keeping and maintaining this priceless resource is to give our children a love of them too.
