Our neighbor to the north is celebrating its 150th birthday (150 years since Confederation) by giving a gift to us all - free admission to their National Parks, Historic Sites, and Marine Conservation Areas for the entire year!
One of the most spectacular places that we have ever visited is Banff National Park on the border between British Columbia and Alberta, only about an hour's drive west of Calgary. The stunning alpine environment of the Canadian Rockies had us awestruck at every bend of the road as new vistas opened up around the turn. It may be the most scenic place we have ever visited.
